  • Torque 3D

I have been watching the news posts on Garage Games’ website, and I am really looking forward to the new game engine they are working on. From what I have seen it can stand up with all of the new next gen graphic. I can hardly wait until its out so I can have a chance to play with it!

  • iPhone Application?

Riley and I have been discussing different ideas we had for projects here at Faintmedia since PictureMe has launched. One of our ideas was an iPhone application. I don’t want to give out any details at the moment, but I think I may start working on it today and learn how to use the program that I will be developing in.
Any way, that’s all for now!

  • Invision Power Board 3 – Beta Testing

The other day it was announced that Invision’s new forums system is ready for beta testing. I have just started to look through everything and I must say it is very nice! I have found some bugs, but what else do you expect when a product is in beta? Well I guess I am going to go and try out some of the other features with the new forums software!

  • PictureMe, Logo and Lockdown

Well PictureMe has finally been released and it looks great! We will probably be updating the product page for PictureMe so potential users will be able to get an in depth look into it.

If you look at the Faintmedia site you will notice we have changed our logo. We decided to do this because it works nicer with a variety of colours. The other logo held us back with what colours the logo could be displayed on. I really like the update to it!

Today I created the training bunker you will go to in Lockdown to learn how to use the different weapons and tactics that will be provided in the game. I finished it and put it into the game engine only to find out that probably 90% of the collision on it doesn’t work. I will have to look into the problem more tomorrow, but hopefully I can get it all fixed and put together.

On a side not to all of this, we hope to have all of our tutorials back up and running on the Faintmedia forums very soon! Well that’s all for now!

  • Home Sweet Home!

Well I have been back home for a few days now and I must say it has been great! The trip was awesome but It’s good to be home. I may put up some pictures from my trip on here but I don’t have any to post right now.

Right now I have decided our tutorials have been down for too long on Faintmedia. Ever since we lost all of our data for the forums our tutorials were down. So I have decided that I will put them back up! Right now I have started to add some tutorials to the blender section. Once all of the tutorials are up I will redirect the old tutorial pages to the new ones!

  • AHH!

Well I have been working on Lockdown and I just can’t get some of the things I really want working to work. First off when I change what the sky looks like it either does not change/work or it changes and I save and when I want to re-open it the game engine gives me an error.

Now I am making buildings to put in the game, and it’s always nice for buildings that have interiors to have windows, transparent ones. Well transparent windows are really aggravating me, they just will not work, I have tried many approaches and small, simple tests but still nothing works.

Right now I am done working for a bit, I need a break, I hopefully will get some help on the Garage Games forums, and then I can get working on more stuff.

  • And So It Begins

Today the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) was started up, and I am quite excited for the what the future will bring with this. For the people who who don’t know the Large Hadron Collider is a giant particle accelerator which will get protons moving at a speed close to the speed of light. They then plan on colliding the protons.

Some people believe that this could cause the end of the world and they are trying to get this stopped. I am not really much of a science guy but I am quite curious to see the results that come from their work.
